In order to standardize food production and food business operation activities, enhance supervision and administration of food production and business operation, and ensure food safety for the public, the Administrative Measures for Food Production Licensing and the Administrative Measures for Food Business Operation Licensing were adopted at the executive meeting of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) on August 26, 2015. The Administrative Measures for Food Production Licensing and the Administrative Measures for Food Business Operation Licensing were promulgated on August 31, 2015 as CFDA Order No. 16 and CFDA Order No.17, and will be put into force as of October 1, 2015.
